This ceramic moon gazing hare was cut from clay and imprinted with leaves before being kiln fired. It was then glazed and re-fired.
The leaves were collected from my garden. Using leaves and flowers in my work is something I love and mixing the glaze to get just the right shade, then waiting to see how it comes out is a joy.
The little hare has been mounted on a very rustic piece of pallet wood that measures 17.5 cm long by 6.5 cm wide. I have sanded and then painted the wood blue and highlighted it in antique silver, to suggest moonlight.
